How to Throw the Best Pearls & Prosecco Party

Looking for the ultimate sparkling soirΓ©e idea? Whether you’re planning a bridal shower, birthday, or just a fabulous excuse to sip bubbles with your favorite people, a Pearls & Prosecco party is pure Audrey Hepburn magic. Think Breakfast at Tiffany’sβ€”but with Prosecco towers, little black dresses, and a whole lot of sparkle. ✨

This step-by-step guide will show you how to plan an elegant, stress-free bash that your guests will never forget.

We hosted the dreamiest Pearls & Prosecco party a few months ago and couldn’t think of a more perfect day (hello, National Prosecco Day) to share the inspo with you.

Step 1: Set the Scene πŸŽ€

We love hosting parties and always aim to create a truly amazing vibe. Even when you already have a great backdrop like a lovely patio or deck, it’s fun to elevate the space. We call this being “bougie on a budget.”Β

Every great party starts with a vibe. For this theme, we went for:

  • The Vibe – Classy, Sparkly, and So Much Fun πŸ’Ž
  • Dress Code – Little black dresses, pearls, kitten heels (or go full glam!)
  • Mood – Champagne tower meets backyard soirΓ©e
  • Decor – White florals, vintage glassware, candles, gold + pearl accents

You don’t need a red carpet to go full glam! Little details make a big impact; we found that starting on Pinterest for inspiration and then shopping on Amazon helped us find cute, affordable decor without spending too much time on DIY projects and intricate balloon arches.

πŸ‘‰ Pro tip: Pinterest for inspo, Amazon for budget-friendly finds. It’s β€œbougie on a budget,” and it works.

Step 2: Plan Your Guest Entrance & Giveaways 🎁

Enhancing the party theme right from the start makes a huge difference. We LOVE giving gifts on arrival! Here’s why:

  • Excitement – Entrance gifts are unexpected delights that get everyone in the mood.
  • Less Pressure – Props help ease outfit anxiety, making everyone feel included from the get-go.
  • Memorable Favors – Most party favors end up forgotten, so this ensures your guests leave with something fun.

🎁 Favors That Sparkle (and Make People Laugh)

We filled tiny Tiffany-blue boxes with blue Ring Pops and tied them with white ribbon. Our guests squealed in delight when they opened them. It was playful and perfectly on-theme, also making for a cute group photo later!

πŸ•ΆοΈ Props that add to the atmosphere (and get people excited)

Each guest received a pair of oversized black sunglasses upon arrival. What’s a Pearls & Prosecco party without channeling Holly Golightly? Pair these props with a welcome sign or mirror decal that says, “Darling, the bubbles are this way.”

The result? Ice-breaking laughter and the cutest group photos.

Step 3: The Invitation βœ‰οΈ

Sending out your invitations properly sets the tone for your themed party:

  • Send invites 4–6 weeks in advance so guests have time to find their LBD or polish their pearls
  • Make RSVPs effortless – I detest waiting until the last minute to know who’s coming, and I get why others do too. Use Evites for quick responses or include a QR code in paper invites that links directly to an RSVP app.
  • Explain the Theme Clearly – Inject your fun, funky, or bubbly personality into the invites to inspire everyone to get glammed up.

We invited guests to show up in their favorite LBD and pearls. No pressure. Just a shared understanding that this was a sparkle-forward event and we were all in.

The result? A room full of powerhouse women, dressed to the nines, clinking glasses and taking selfies under balloon garlands. It truly felt like magic.

Step 4: Food & Beverage 🍰πŸ₯‚

Props are fun, but food + drinks seal the deal. We like to keep everything portable so guests mingle instead of sit.

Fun Food Ideas:

  • Classic white cake – A Walmart or grocery store tiered cake + a bouquet of Trader Joe’s flowers (or pearl strands) = bakery-level glamour
  • Mini apps – Frozen apps on cute platters = elevated bites without stress
  • Charcuterie grazing table – Piles of cheese, dips, cured meats, fruit, and warm breadΒ

πŸ‘‰Β Pro tip:Β Using crates, cake stands, and tiered serving trays are a great way to add drama to your serving station and make the food pop.

Drinks that Dazzle:

Prosecco was our star, of course, but we elevated the event with a signature cocktail and mocktail.  After greeting guests with their favors they were invited to grab a glass of Blanc de Blanc from a tower of coupes that were already filled and ready to go.

  • Prosecco Tower – Pre-poured coupes so guests grab and go
  • Signature Cocktail – Holly Golightly Winetail
    • Sparkling rosΓ©
    • Splash of elderflower liqueur
    • Edible glitter or sugar cube dropper ✨

Mocktails – Sparkling lemonade with blueberries for a festive NA option
